- Is the photographer flexible and can they tailor their packages to suit your requirements? There are many photographers out there – make sure they suit what you want for your special day and that you do not compromise your plans.
- The photographer should be proactive and positive looking for solutions to ensure you receive the best visual memories of your special day and not being negative and saying what is not possible.
- The photographer should not be the presiding memory of the day. Ensure you ask about how they will photograph your day. Find out about their style of photographing you as the wedding couple and your wedding party.
- Can the photographer provide a range of examples of their work? Including indoor photographs because of that rainy day or mid-winter wedding? Not being forthcoming about these examples could elude to the photographer's lack of confidence in this area.

- Is there an opportunity for your guests to have a formal photograph taken if requested? Will the photographer set up a mini studio environment?
- Is the photographer able to demonstrate their photographic style in the context of 'book signing', 'cake cutting' and 'group shots'? Being able to view their work in this manner will enable you to evaluate their flexibility and creativity to a given situation.
- What is the aftercare service like? There are many questions you should ask, such as; Is the turn around for ordering for your family and friends quick and efficient? Would you be able to order large scale printing and canvases? Can you purchase the copyright of your photographs after a stated time has elapsed?
- Do make sure that the photographer has a contingency plan in case they are taken seriously ill. A well prepared photographer for all eventualities however dramatic, is a professional and thoughtful one focused on customer care.
- Does the photographer have suitable Public Liability Insurance? A professional photographer certainly will, but a photographer without suitable insurance could result in the Emphasis of Blame for any accident incurred being placed with you, the client, to resolve.
